Armies on Parade is an almost year-long initiative to get you building and painting awesome collections that you can then enter into a massive global competition at the end of the year. There’s even a chance you can win an award from a wide selection available for both in-store and online competitions.
We can reveal today that the Armies on Parade Online Ceremony is scheduled to take place on November the 2nd, and that means we’ve got your key entry dates – you’ll need to submit your entries between 13:00 BST on Friday the 20th of September and 23:59 BST on Monday the 7th of October 2024 in order for them to be counted!

Last time we checked in on entries from Warhammer staff around the world to see how they were getting on with their own progress. This time we’re checking in with Emma from one of our retail stores, who has been making great strides with their colourful Cities of Sigmar entry.
Emma: “Since my initial update I’m happy with my progress but still have quite a bit to do, including the display board. Hobby burnout has been a little bit of a struggle for this project, but I think that’s something we all face. I’ve found it hard to sit and focus on painting and building lots of the same thing, and to combat this I’ve chosen to paint one element of a unit – for example, the metallics on a unit of Freeguild Fusiliers – and then and move on to paint a character instead, or in some cases a completely different project to take a break.
“Painting Tahlia Vedra and her manticore Infernadine has been the most exciting part so far because she is my favourite Cities of Sigmar miniature and the centrepiece of my army. Painting her in my own colour scheme was a lot of fun, because it meant I could be really creative with the design and my painting techniques to bring this mini to life.
“Since the last article I’ve painted three of the five units that I had as part of my next steps – the Freeguild Cavalier Marshal, Tahlia Vedra, and the Ironweld Great Cannon – and I’ve finished one unit of Steelhelms, started painting a unit of Freeguild Fusiliers, and built a second unit of Steelhelms. I’m still working currently on the Command Corps and haven’t started painting Hexbane’s Hunters yet. I need to finish those next, start the Fusil-Major on Ogor Warhulk and Pontifex Zenestra, and start building the display board, which I think will be a segment of a city for the army to march through.”
